Add new forecast transactions

Prerequisite: To add a forecast transaction, you must create an account.

  1. Select Cash forecasting > Transactions > Add new forecast transactions.
  2. In the Account field, select the desired bank account.
  3. If you wish you can select a Transaction code and a Budgetary code for this forecast. Iziago, according to your matching rules, will automatically select the budgetary code corresponding to the selected transaction code. If you wish, you can create a new transaction code and a new budgetary code directly from this screen by clicking on + Add new transaction code and + Add new budgetary code in the drop-down list.
  4. Select the Booking date of the transaction. It is the date on which the entry will be posted to the bank account.
  5. Select the Value date of the transaction. It is the date on which the asset will become available (credit) or unavailable (debit). The value date is applied by your bank and depends on the type of transaction.
  6. In the Amount drop-down list, indicate whether it is a Credit or a Debit, and enter the forecast amount.
  7. If you wish to save this forecast as a recurring forecast (Recurring forecast section), proceed as follows:
    1. Select the frequency of the forecast and the end date of the recurrence.
Note: If you leave the End date field empty, the forecasts will be created until the software's horizon date. This horizon is extended by one day daily, and the list of recurring forecasts is updated.
    2. In the Date type field, indicate if you wish the recurrence to start from the value date or the booking date of the forecast.
    3. Define a rule for the amount evolution. To do this, in the Amount evolution rule field, you can:
      • Select None: The amount of the forecasts remains fixed.
      • Select According to a rule. Define a rule to add or subtract an amount or a percentage according to the frequency of the forecast and then click on Calculate in the Simulation field to display your recurring forecasts in a schedule and in a chart.
      • Select According to a schedule: You can distribute the amounts over the chosen recurrence period.
  8. Click on Save.
